Street Cooking

Aim

By the end of the session a young person will have taken part in the unique street style cooking session. They will learn how to produce a simple meal outdoors that they can consume or take away with them.

Young People’s Learning

  • Participants will have to listen carefully and follow instruction and guidance.
  • They will have opportunities to ask questions.
  • Develop pride and confidence in an activity they have not tried before.
  • Encouraged others to take part – developing their team skills.
  • Learnt to take care of resources.
  • Learnt something about nutrition.
  • Learnt something about personal hygiene and food safety.

Self-Development

  • Increased self confidence
  • Developed concentration
  • Being calm and sensible.
  • Enhanced listening and communication skills
  • Taken part in a team work or collective activity.
  • Developed a greater sense of the need for hygiene.

Our current charge is £45 per hour, this includes, instructors, resources, all equipment needed to run the session and our expenses for bringing the activity to you.

Maximum group size 12 young people.

We will need to deliver this session outside and will need tables to use.

We are happy to involve staff and volunteers however the priority will be the young people.
We will need to be aware of any medical conditions participants may have and we can provide a consent form if needed.
