Above and Beyond love working with schools.

Our staff have extensive experience of working within schools.

We have several ways schools can engage with us -Schools can . . .

Refer students into one or more of our groups – Click Here to do this.

There are six groups you can refer into:

  • Improving your self-esteem and confidence.
  • How to cope with stress and mental health difficulties
  • Controlling your anger
  • Learning about smoking, drugs and alcohol.
  • Building positive relationships
  • Learning employability skills

Refer students to our coaching mentoring service.  This is good when 1-2-1 support is needed. Click Here

Ask us to design and run for your school a group

A group is very useful if you have a group of students you are worried about or if you want to have something happening in school you don’t currently offer such has D of E, Peer Support for example, Contact us to discuss this further.

Refer students to one of our residential experiences. Click Here

Refer students to one of our accredited courses. We will discuss with you the students needs so we can decide together which accredited course is best for them, using the referal form above.

  • Adventure Service Challenge -Taking part in Adventure Service Challenge provides opportunities for young people to find self-confidence and a sense of purpose and achievement whilst providing structure and training which forms an ideal precursor to the Duke of Edinburgh.

  • First Aid Training - Knowing how to deal with a First Aid situation is not only a useful skill that helps to teach young people to save and preserve someone’s life, but it also helps to promote Confidence, Teamwork, Communication skills and Listening Skills.

  • Arts Award - We are a registered Arts Award Centre.  The Arts Award inspires young people to grow their arts and leadership talents: it's creative, valuable and accessible.  Arts Award can be achieved at five levels, four qualifications and an introductory award

  • Gateway Award - The Gateway Award is an activity award scheme which people with a learning disability, of any age or ability, can take part in.   The award encourages people to gain new skills and experiences, become more independent, make friends, be active in the community and improve their health and wellbeing.
There are three levels of the Gateway Award, made up of five different activities: Bronze, Silver and Gold. Participants will receive a certificate upon completion of each stage.

  • DofE Award - Expedition Section -The DofE is all about going the extra mile – gaining new skills, pushing yourself physically, helping others and exploring new territories.  At the same time, you’ll gather friendships, experiences and memories that will last a lifetime.  It doesn’t matter who you are or where you’re from, as long as you’re 14 to 24, you can choose the activities that motivate you and go on your own personal journey.

  • Forest Schools Courses – Forest School is about education. It aims to maximise the benefits of learning in the outdoors whilst helping to build confidence, sensitivity, resilience and curiosity.
