Working with Boys and Young Men

Outline of Training

This interactive day course is for those who want to develop their work with boys and young men. The trainers on this course are Andrew Lake and Colin Laws, both qualified Youth Workers with extensive experience of running groups for boys and young men in a variety of settings. The training will give workers and volunteers a better understanding of the reasoning of why we should develop our work with boys and young men. Participants will take part in some activities that are tried and tested for use with boys and young men. The course will also consider the role of film and media on the development of masculinities. Every participant will receive a handbook of activities they will be able to take away and use in their own practise.
